In terms of experimenting, MM may be tempted to play Clement on Lynch next time, although Lynch won the first contest JC out smarted him in the next one, maybe it takes some brains to beat him & not just brute strength?

Rubbish.

No surprises tonight. It was always an unwinnable game at this stage of the year.

I thought it was a pretty good hitout for nearly half a game. They'll be better for the run, you can be sure of that.

Just a few injury worries ... particularly Tarrant. Without him our forward set up is a basket case.

We need him back for next week. We need to win just to keep in touch until our form returns.

At the moment we're relying on too few. Burns was great again. Wakelin was doing well until he got thugged out of it.

Expect Brisbane to be a little bit undermanned next week by the time the tribunal is finished with them.

If Brown or White play next week there will have to be a royal commission.

I'd suggest we don't get too depressed over it. Seriously, did anyone expect any different?[/quote] Hi I can only agree with your comment, its early days, good signs for Dane Swan, played his best game so far he will only improve with more games, same can be said for Richards by the end of the season he will be great support for Josh. I just hope we can stay in touch whilst this transition takes place. We were found wanting last season in the ruck and got killed there in the grand final with no Rocca to pinch hit, something had to be done and Micks biting the bullet.

I only listened on the radio to the first 2 and a 1/2 qtrs before giving up, but from what I heard, Richards and Swan had a real go, while Lokan just about played one of his best games. Where was Bucks? We've got to win convincingly this week otherwise 2004 will start going down the drain.

Having had some time to cool down from last Thurs night, I too agree with some here that it is not ALL THAT BAD!

We were competitive for a half, and I never really expected us to win, but often the Lions come out and jump us in the first quarter. At least we had something to hang onto at halftime!

Lokan was great, did all the right things down forward and stood up with Taz on the bench. Great to see Swan do some OK things too, this is really important to see these young kids DO SOMETHING or else it just becomes very disheartening knowing that there is nothing coming up thru the ranks.

We were always going to be up against it with Taz and Wakelin off the ground. Both started so well too.

DOnt think any team would have stopped the Lions in that second half, they were awesome. We were painfully outclassed.

Its only round 3, we played the best side in the comp at their home ground, without some of our best on the field. Afterall, according to Burnsy, we can win our next 19 games!!
Hang in there guys!
