Well, talk about premiership hangover!
Both teams lost today, and to say their performances were well below par is an understatement.
Don't think I'll post a match report as my comments could put me offside with the club, but the ladies that I was sitting with, who have followed the club since the 1920's, said it was one of the worst games they have seen Williamstown play.
Scores - Reserves:
Will: 3.2.20 ~ 5.7.37 ~ 7.10.52 ~ 8.16.64
Werr: 4.0.24 ~ 5.1.37 ~ 7.3.45 ~ 13.5.83
Goals: Knight 2, Theodore, Ramsay, McArdle, Crawford, Hall, Rowe.
Best: Ralph, McArdle, Proctor, Tavelangi.
Scores - Seniors:
Will: 2.7.19 ~ 2.8.20 ~ 6.11.47 ~ 7.14.56
Werr: 3.1.19 ~ 10.3.63 ~ 13.4.82 ~ 19.10.124
Goals: B.Shaw 2, Lloyd 2, Jarrad, Dukes, Kinnear.
Best: West, Cranage, Williams, Lloyd, Jarrad, Swan.
Pics to follow.

Not being familiar with the ground, I took the punt and chose to sit scoreboard side, hoping this would be the best place for taking pics.
However, it proved to be the wrong side to watch the game as 80% of the match was played on the social club of the ground. The only time the ball came to 'my' side of the ground was after a Williamstown turnover and Werribee ran the ball out of defence, untouched, to score another goal.
Saying that, McG got a few touches, but was not the influence that he should have been. If it wasn't for Troy West and Sam Cranage, the difference would have been far greater.
There is a match report on the H-S footy website,

To top it off, Tex Walker went down with an achilles injury;

Not a good day for the Williamstown faithful, however, we will bounce back next week against Box Hill.Williamstown never threatened after it failed to use a strong wind in the first quarter and lost ruckman Tristen Walker with an achilles tendon injury in the opening minutes.
Walker's mishap followed young Magpie Tom Davidson's knee injury the previous day and, while officials last night were unsure of the extent of the damage, it was severe enough to confine him to the bench for the rest of the game.
