I’ll have a look at work for you and see what’s lying around - they’ll be second-hand though :P

Second hand, low mileage, well maintained is better than single user thrashed to point of destruction.

COVID birthday party just me and her - a little orange cake cupcake with a candle, big bunch of Singapore orchids, her favourite moscato and choccies and a nice seafood and avocado crepe for her dinner!
Happy birthday to your Mum. Nice work M.

Mum turned 86 today.

The daughters sent her (their grandmother) a bunch of tulips.
Got her a slice of blackforest cake and a coffee and sat opposite the glass window talking for a while

When I rang her this morning she was unware it was the 20th of July.

Got her a nice card and she wanted some lippy (Mrs WPT got that - I'd run out)

So much more settled than she was (so are we) now to sell the place to pay for the fees and bond  this is hard stuff during the corona virus.

^ Cheers TP and Morrigu. It’s a relief from a few months ago when I was being accused of sending her to “finishing school” and what sort of son would put their mother in a place like this!

A lot to be said for having a poor memory

All good so far post the surgery. Little to no pain, surgeon happy, jobs are good, was able to get a glass of red with dinner and even better the nurse was able to find a second one for me. :D

Only annoying thing is these things on my calves that keep inflating and deflating, apparently to prevent blood clots in the lower leg. If I want to get out of bed I have to buzz the nurses to disconnect them first.

So managed some sleep last night. Nurse came in at midnight to do box and pump the IV full of antibiotics.

Geez she was good, even fixed the bad as i had the sheet and blanket a tangled mess.

Stayed awake after the 6am jobs, been to the funny and did some no. 2 with no pain so pretty happy with that.

Breakfast soon.
