Practice match - 27/03

Post by Dale61 »

Williamstown play Coburg Tigers in the final practice match of the 2004 pre-season.

To be played at Burbank Oval (aka Point Gellibrand), this will be the final hit-out for the 2003 premiers being the season proper.

The reserves will kick-off at 11.10am, with the seniors taking to the field at 2pm, and entry to the ground is FREE.

Next week, The Seagulls travel to Chirnside Park to kick off their 2004 campaign against intense rival Werribee, and the following week, Box Hill cross the West Gate in the ABC-TV televised game which will see both premiership flags unfurled in a ceremony to be held prior to the senior game.

I asked that same question in GD, and got a lot of different assumptions but no definite answer.

I guess all will be revealed at 2pm tomorrow.

If a few of the young gus put their hands up theyc ould buy themselves a ticket to the MCG to play the Dogs. Looking for a big performance from Richards, Nixon, McGough, Mullins, King & Shackleton. Any of those 6 players could get the gig on Saturday.

I think he is, I'm sure I heard him say it on SEN during the week.
