If he has that breakout year, then we will be the beneficiaries of his potential.
If he gets injured again or he doesn’t have that breakout year, then his contract currency would be most likely downgraded accordingly.
I’m past the stage of worrying about players leaving the club. As long as we receive a fair trade in return, the sun will still rise tomorrow and those picks or player ( s ) can be utilised elsewhere.
Even meaning we have to go Backwards 1st?

Dave, you don’t have to go backwards when you lose a quality player. You might end up better up because of what you picked up in return.
You might also go backwards because you end up paying overs to keep that player.
I don’t want to lose Moore to anyone but to be fair ( unless he has a great year this year ) it’s not like we have fallen in a heap whenever he hasn’t been available to play.
Hawks lost Franklin to a compensation pick only and they won two more flags without him. In a well balanced team, it’s not about the individual.

(At least, for our own sanity, we should not be worrying about players leaving a year or two before their contracts expire.)

The Carringbush Rumour File (JUST the rumour pls)

Post by DeadEyeDidak »

Starting a thread where we can post rumours we have heard.

I will start it off.

I'm told this week we will be announcing our coaching panel including;

Leppitsch (most likely Defence)
Tapping (most likely Midfield)
Bolton (most likely Director of Coaching)

Who doesn't love a good rumour!

Hope we add:

* Chocco: kicking coach
* Monky: ruck coach
* Craig Bellamy: tackling coach :)

I feel sick everytime I look at Choco too, Collingwood captain who left the club for the Bears.

Oh please.
