https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/5 ... -pies-rise

"It is only two rounds in, but in an eight-round season, Collingwood appears to be on the right path to qualifying for its first AFLW finals series."

Match report:

"Fremantle has elevated itself above the AFLW pack and remains the only undefeated team after a thrilling three-point win against a desperate Collingwood on Saturday.

The Dockers extended their winning streak at Fremantle Oval to seven games and maintained their perfect record in 2020 with the 5.3 (33) to 4.6 (30) win in front of 5,636 fans.

Their defence was heroic, holding off the surging Magpies in the final quarter and keeping their opponents to one goal in the second half, despite Collingwood's massive 34-21 advantage in forward entries."

So, despite the narrow loss, Jaimee Lambert received all 10 Coaches' votes for the third week in succession. She has the perfect 30 and leads the competition by 8.

In other good news, the Coaches took the view that Collingwood had quite a few good players on the day, so Bonnici (6), Davey (4), Brazill (4), Layton (2) and Molloy (1) were all among the votes. For Freo, only Miller (3 - a 2 and a 1) got votes.
