The League Cup Semi Final ties are now completed as Aston Villa and Manchester City have advanced to the 2020 League Cup Final.
Manchester City will be looking to add more silverware to the collection under Pep Guardiola who has already won 7 trophies in his stint with the club. On the other hand, Aston Villa are looking to win major silverware for the first time since 1996.
Manchester City last made the League Cup Final last year defeating Chelsea on penalties. In contrast, Aston Villa last made the League Cup Final in 2010 when they lost to Manchester United 2-1.
Both clubs have a history of League Cup success with Manchester City winning the competition six times, which includes four in the last six seasons. Aston Villa have won the competition five times which they last did in 1996 with victory over Leeds United.
The last clash between the two clubs occurred a few weeks ago with Manchester City defeating Aston Villa 6-1 at Villa Park in the Premier League.
