Pro-democracy protesters in central Hong Kong celebrated U.S. lawmakers and President Trump on Thursday night, thanking them for passing and enacting legislation that promises to punish officials who restrict freedoms in the territory.
Of the thousands at the “Thanksgiving Rally,” many draped themselves in American flags and sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and some lauded Trump as an international hero by waving posters depicting a strong, shirtless American leader.
Pelosi just said they're going ahead with impeachment. Does she realise that the Republican senate will be running the trial and all the witnesses that Schifty wouldn't let them call will be subpoenaed?
I mean Trump had the Dems check mated no matter what they did but a slightly embarrassing but quickly forgotten dropping of the matter would've been the most politically expedient. Now we get a trial that the republicans can use to not just vindicate Trump but paint him as anything they want.
Mindboggling stupidity from a political party that had already lowered the bar on stupidity.
The 10% are the Never Trump Republicans, endlessly dragged out by the Neo Liberal news media to show that "SEE Conservatives hate him too" it's all so tiresome.
My only take that makes sense is that Democrats are trying to fire up their base ahead of the 2020 election, but Red State Democrats are shitting themselves and even some staunch deep blue Dems wanted a censure rather than impeachment.
Pelosi lost her shit when she was asked if she's doing this because she hates Trump, Biden lost his shit when asked about Hunter's dodgy dealings (and never answered the question) they're like rabid dogs biting anything that comes close. I was genuinely hoping for a worthy challenger for Trump (only Tulsi really stands out there), whether he'd win or lose it would've been a great show and I love political theater but as it stands it's all kind of sad.
It will be interesting to see how the Democrats and their supporters deal with Trump not only not being impeached by the Senate but being re-elected.
The reaction when he first got elected was extreme. Everyone thought Hillary had it in the bag, including her, and the wailing and gnashing of teeth on Social Media was insane.
As a result, they seem to have been in denial ever since, blaming everyone and thing except themselves.
If they don't have a good hard look in the mirror after they lose in 2020, the future doesn't bode well.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
Global financial repression is the economic policy which rides along with it, suppressing competition and artificially bolstering US markets by turning them into a safe haven.
Why anyone who is not an American multimillionaire, or does not hold assets traded on US markets, would speak favourably of someone devaluing their wealth is beyond me. It's the same as the asset-crushing Brexit farce; people will pay anything to burn imaginary witches to their own serious deficit.
It's George W. levels of corruption and devaluation, with all of the risks that entails.
Someone tell Greta, she can give them a "How dare you". That'll fix it
The effects of a 16 year old teenage girl on reactionary older white men: remarkable
The delusion that there's anything but ridicule is astounding. She doesn't make people angry, she elicits derision. The only anger is directed at her abusive parents.
