While I have no great love of Biden if he's the candidate he'll romp it in because he'll split enough of the white male vote away from Trump.
Last time not enough people turned out to vote in their ridiculous system. While none of us knows what will happen, Trump is doing a simply peachy & marvellous fabulous job galvanizing the against vote.
He may well be the inspiration to get more voters out there. Go Donny baby.

What happens if you take out the people who believe that the world was created 6000 years ago, that teachers should carry firearms and that Trump is God's anointed one?

The popular vote is a meaningless statistic, a coping mechanism for losers. It's like people carping on about primary vote winners here, the system is what's important not winning a stat.
Hillary also won the popular vote in the primary against Obama, it's meaningless fluff.
But the opposition already voted and he won. All the media will also galvanize his supporters so it's the small percent of people who may change that are the issue.
Again 51% of the country could hate his guts, it depends where the 49% who vote for him are located, same as here.

However, the momentum to impeach continues to make this front and centre.
Starting next Wednesday full public/televised hearings are going to air.
It's one thing to hear dry breakdowns of transcripts and depositions but when the cameras on, the Public will be able to put a human face on those all damning statements.
The pressure on the GOP to explain what their Pres" was doing is going to be immense.
Hearing witness's that have information on what Drump said to Putin (and visa-versa) during those 5 closed-door meetings is going to be very interesting
