There's a significant prospect that Trump won't even gain the Republican nomination if things continue as at present. It is, after all, only a marriage of convenience and at various points over the next year, it's going to look rather more inconvenient than at present. When political figures double-down about process, you know they have nothing to say on substance. Not surprising, really - Trump has, it would appear, plainly committed a series of impeachable offences.

At some point, actual traitors stop being "our traitor" and become just "a traitor". There are limits, even to the sway of fake news.

This will be interesting to watch.

My prediction.

The Democrats will pass impeachment stuff in the house of reps, the republican senate will block it.

Trump will win a 2nd term as POTUS in a close call that will have every left winger and Democrat spinning in angst for another 4 years.

In 2024, Trump's daughter runs and wins, hospital emergency rooms report a new phenomena of spontaneously exploding heads, investigations show it's confined to democrat voters

What came out today was so damning there is nowhere for Trump or GOP to hide.

Earlier today Nicole Wallace described what Trump and friends were doing in Ukraine as a combination of Laurel and Hardy meets the God-father.

Would you like a friendly wager on that?

$100 says the only prediction you got right was the House voting to impeach.

Senate doesn't block an impeachment, they hold the trial. And yeah I agree, they'll acquit.

it's a deal.

using US military aid to further his own murky personal aims is contrary to everything the US Constitution stands for.
the GOP will have to vote to impeach or risk the greatest landslide in US political history!

The question is most likely to be whether the voters will re-elect an identified traitor to the White House, irrespective of the voting in the Senate. I suppose it’s possible that Americans will, on the whole, like the idea of a treasonous spud as their “commander in chief”, so long as he’s “their” treasonous spud. Time will tell. There’s a good likelihood that the Republicans won’t risk the possibility and will prefer to find a “war hero” to run on their ticket as the antidote.
