The "Official Nick's BB" Trump Impeachment thread!
The most monumental Political Event since Watergate and Irangate and not one thread that even wants to discuss it!
I guess it's a sort of wishful thinking/denial that all the talk of Foreign Countries being invited (repeatedly) to interfere in US Elections by the American President will just go away if we all continue to do this ...

Nice photo of Trump derangement syndrome suffering democrats. If he's impeached then the Senate acquits and he wins in a landslide just like Clinton did.
I'd be surprised if the House even bothers with articles of impeachment, it's a fools game that Pelosi is being dragged into by moronic leftists in the party.

It's a pointless exercise. Trump will be acquitted in the Senate if impeachment occurs.
Clinton was impeached in late 1998, and the Democrats had success in the 1998 mid term elections because of the backlash that started from the Republican's impeachment inquiries a month before that.
After Clinton was acquitted, he enjoyed high support from the American voting public for the final two years of his presidency.

I'm I've said this before but i'll say it again...do you ever know what you're talking about?
1. Clinton was impeached in 1998 during his second term. In the weeks after news of his impeachment was released to the media his approval went up 10% to 71%. That's a Very Very different kettle of fish to what's happening today with Drumpf. ...btw The Dems went into 2000 election and lost narrowly to George Bush. ... You'd think an enlightened mind would do even a modicum of Fact-Checking!
2 Fools game huh? Of Presidents that have faced impeachment charges not one of them, or their Party, has won the following election.
2b. I guess that's why, (according to Fox News), more than 50% of the US voters want him impeached! .... Getting to bottom of a vicious attack on the Very Fabric of America (and it's Constitution) using Russia Turkey, the Kurds even Australia as proxies to dig imaginary dirt on this President's political rivals is a perfectly legal mis-misuse of the Law. But luckily for us/US the Majority of patriotic freedom-loving Americans do not!

An impeachment inquiry is the only appropriate response to the uncontested facts in this instance, irrespective of the political consequences. What has happened is self-evidently improper - at some point (reached well before this present debacle), it is necessary to say “Enough!”, not merely “We best do some internal polling to determine whether an impeachment inquiry will advantage us politically.”

I think that's called deflection or the pot calling the kettle black (or Orange in some cases).Wokko wrote:Nice photo of Trump derangement syndrome suffering democrats.
Most of us left-wing leaning chardonnay Socialists are so absorbed in watching him tearing himself (and the GOP) apart to even think of putting our collective heads in the sand. This is the kind of Comedy/Farce/Tragedy that we haven't seen since Nixon was charged and abysmal fate once the full criminality of his actions forced him from the office!
Even then Nixon was only using the IRS the attack his political rivals whereas Trump was using Javelin missiles that Ukraine desperately needed to defend themselves in a warm war with Russian!
He used those missiles (which had been released by the State Department some months before but were held up at the direct request of Trump!
as a bargaining chip in a game to get the Ukrainian Government to open an investigation that would clear the Russians from the charge that they interfered in the election in 2016!
That's not even including demanding that Military aid be withheld till it was announced Officially that Hunter Biden was being investigated for corruption and a statement that Ukraine now considers it was them and NOT Russia that hacking the Democratic Party's Emails!
(Ukraine did get the Javelins btw, 2 days AFTER the Whistle-blower claims were made public!)
It always goes back to Russia.
Sell out the Kurds, who benefits?
The Russians!
Trump tries to clear Russia from claims it interfered in the election who benefits?
The Russians!
Who benefits when Trump does his best to destroy NATO?
The Russians!
Sow discord in the Ukraine Government who benefits?
The Russians!
...btw What was tump talking about in his 5 one on ones with Putin. Not even the State Department knows what went on in there. The only American there was his translator and she was sworn to absolute secrecy and Trump confiscated all her notes!
Anyway back the on going comedy that is ... President Donald J Trump!

I do believe that statement is somewhat incorrect; if facts matter that is...3.14159 wrote: I'm I've said this before but i'll say it again...do you ever know what you're talking about?

Republican; Ronald Reagan in 1987 during his second term of office had Impeachment motions introduced against him over the Iran Contra affair by Henry B. González.
In 1989 republican George H Bush was elected directly after Reagan.

If congress thinks there's legitimate grounds to impeach Trump then they should impeach him.
However, if ever a President should have been impeached it was George W. Bush.
An illegal war that killed millions.
Illegal mass surveillance of the American people.
Guantanamo, black sites, state-sanctioned torture etc. etc.
And congress, the senate, the mainstream media all happily went along with it all.
It's hard for me to get my head around that Trump is being impeached for allegedly dealing with the Ukrainians whilst Bush, a possible war-criminal, is now lauded as a "good guy".
