Exactly, barrackers! That blatant staging that gifted the Giants a goal was atrocious. The illegal block on Roughie that allowed Cameron to mark was right in front of me too, boy did everyone in my area go nuts at that!!!

Footy shows this morning -- no mention of Grundy's shove in the back that gifted the Giants a goal. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. But they're all talking about how the goal review robbed GWS. damn assholes!

Never mind that - there was a goal review - I think it was Pendles goal ruled as touched as it hit the arm of gws- the angle was all wrong on the review. I’m sure it was over the line when it was touched.
The Pendlebury goal was touched off the boot - by the right hand of a GWS player. Mayne's was touched on/over the line - saw a slight deflection.

Brown's missed soccer goal, Stephenson kicking to goal line where Shaw took an uncontested mark instead of kicking to Hosking-Elliott or Thomas, Mayne not making the distance, Reid missing from 30m out - all cost us the game.

HOWEVER, umpiring decisions in the 3rd quarter resulted in 3 goals to GWS which gave them a run on and changed the game. Umpires refused to give us a free in the forward 50 when plenty should have been paid, especially in the last quarter, didn't help our cause. Payback for the treatment GWS/Greene got with the tribunal.

Exactly Rogue, it's not how many free kicks you get, it's where you get them. We couldn't buy a free in our forward 50, despite them being there. Yet the Giants continually get 50/50 tiggy touchwood stuff around their 50m arc. I'd love to see a map of where frees were paid, it'd be enlightening.

FFS Herald-Sun, big article on the goal review -- but NOTHING about Grundy getting shoved in the back and Giants scoring from it. Nothing. I'm taking a break from footy and from the MEDIA, damn over them. damn assholes, the lot of them.

The AFL’s new-look review centre is in the spotlight after Josh Thomas’ controversial snapped goal in the last quarter, despite footage appearing to show it being touched off the boot."

Opposition supporters keep banging on how we won the free kick count 24-17. But they ignore the fact 6 of those frees were from Mumford's infringements (he's given away more frees this year than any other player in history). So when you take out Mumford, it looks a bit different doesn't it?

Bucks specifically mentioned the Grundy push in his presser. Media not biting though.

Exactly right, those last minutes in our square the deliberate out of bounds the out in the full, in the back, they kept their whistle in their pocket, and ok yeah let the game play out, damn shame they didn’t treat west coast like that in last years grand final. When did we ever get the benefit of the doubt? Never, I’m damn over it!
I don’t want an advantage like the free kick bulldogs I just want a fair go!

AFL and the media like statistics and new terminology, we should create a new statistic, number of goals from free kicks, this includes a goal from a direct free, a goal from a 50 metre when without the 50 metre it would be out of range, and where a free kick goes to a player who kicks a goal.

We lost, time to move on now, look to 2020 & beyond.

And if you feel that strongly about it, keep your money in your pocket & stay home, watch it on the TV. Save yourself not only your money & time but also the angst & heart ache. It ain't worth it!
Yes, yes we know it's a corrupt & rigged competition, what do you want?
You want the AFL & the Media to come straight out & say it?

Yeah good luck with that, you'd have more luck selling sand to an Arab!

I'd like to see a map of where frees are paid. That'd be interesting. GWS got a lot at half forward, gifting them inside 50s.

Damn right!

I have upteen relatives working for Banks & various Corporations right across Melbourne, plus friends at the VFL where I can score tickets for nothing, why shouldn't I take advantage of that?

I was a Member for many years at COLL then decided enough was enough when I got shafted out of a ticket in the 2010 & 2011 GFs.
I did attend the Replay though.

All those years of going week in week out since my early teens (when all a Membership cost back then was $32.00) meant fk all to COLL!
Why? So the fat assed bastard Corporates, AFL Gold Members & MCC Members who do not support the 2 teams in the GF get to attend & I as a COLL Member got to sit out?
No, I'm not a dickhead for putting up with that shit!
So STFU & sit the fk down!

So then, I made the decision:
I said a big fk you to COLL & now attend the games I want to attend.
Might be 3 or 4 games a year, sometimes more, sometimes less, it depends.
This year was a total of 4 games maybe?
Admittedly, having Foxtel at home has also made the decision not to renew a lot easier to live with, given we can now sit at home in comfort & avoid all the fkn dramas. Where as years ago, we'd have to wait for the replay on TV or listen live on the Sony transistor radio to 3KZ or 3AW for the scores & updates.

So are you feeling less pain about our demise because you didn't attend? It doesn't sound like it. And there'd be many Nick's members here that are unable to attend - do you suppose they're suffering less as a result? Choosing not to attend games when able to is a personal choice, but I doubt very much that not attending reduces the pain of a season-ending loss.
I find your lack of faith disturbing
