I always thought there was 10 types of people in the world... those that understand binary and those that don't...

Seriously though, when Moore was off sitting on the bench in the tracksuit top and no ice, I thought it was management and nothing else.

There's no evidence or even a suggestion that Darcy's decision to leave the ground in the last quarter of the Bombers game was pre-planned. In fact, Buckley's comments the next day, expressed deep concern that Moore had not been able to play out the game. However, since then, scans have revealed there has been no injury, and that Darcy was simply beginning to feel some stress in his leg and so took the precautionary step to go to the bench before injuring himself. He did the right thing imo. Now we have another 2 weeks of intense training to strengthen his legs even further, so hopefully, he can remain injury free thru the finals. As Bucks said last night on Talking Footy, he's in much better shape this year than he was last year and the club expects him to play a big part in our finals campaign. Fingers crossed it pans out that way.

66% next closest [apart from Sharra] was Rupert Wills with 70%. Cal Brown with 77%, Taylor Adams 78% and Trav Varcoe 79%.

Against Adelaide Wills had 68%, Jamie and Josh Thomas had 71%.

If he goes off the ground in a final with phantom hammy tightness I will flip my shit....but I suspect he was saving himself for the final. One big game from him to crush Geelong in the qualifying final will get us into a prelim against Richmond

Yep, Woody, it's a final, if he experiences 'tightness' again he has to stay on and play thru it.
Better to risk tearing the hammy than come off. Imagine losing the game by a point and you're left sitting on the bench wondering 'what if'.

Better a torn hammy than a lifetime of regret.
Side by side.

Well put.

But I wonder, if with all his training leading up to the come-back game, if he in fact needs to train off to unload it.

Sometimes rest to recover/heal the mussel is required. I'm no expert, but just thinking out loud.

Loading it up further may just stress it further.

It just a bloody concern if he can last a whole game. Just unreliable at this stage. You sit there watching hoping it ain't going to ping.

Looking at Darcy's normal game time, he averages around 86% with a high of 94 and a low of 81 [apart from the Eagles game which was 18 due to injury]. I think the risk vs reward is worth it, last year we wondered "What if?" Gotta play him if he thinks he's right, and not, if he thinks he's not.

I feel it was more like a run in the VFL after a few weeks out. Perhaps in his mind, a tune up to give him some confidence. I doubt it was preplanned, but in the end it might have given him more faith in his body that he stressed it and maybe felt the scar tissue stretch, but it didn't ultimately break. Just guessing of course, guessing in hope.

Did Collingwood plan to take him off against Essendon? Surely not. There was a game to be won.

If he's fit, he clearly plays. But is he 110% fit? I have my doubts.
No one can be 110% fit. Eight fifths of all people know that.

Yes i like that.

Definitely shits me when people say "I give 200%!".. no, you don't, it's not possible, just stick with the 100%, that's plenty :)

Actually, Richmond or West Coast await us in the grand final. Richmond will definitely beat Brisbane first up.

The prelim will be one of Brissy, GWS or Footscray!!
