Although this game at Footscray in '77 was pretty ordinary. It was actually darker and wetter than it looks on the film - at one stage, there was a pool of water about 50 metres long around the centre circle.

I also remember a ridiculously cold and wet game against Geelong at Victoria Park. Mark Jackson was FF for Geelong - it was a difficult trek to the opposite end of the ground at each break so I could stand right behind the goal square and mock him. At one stage, I swear I was the only person watching from the Yarra Falls End goal.

Me thinks Shawry liked the wet that day. Even Mike Richardson (I wore his number as a kid) got a bit of the ball.
