Kouta was a Collingwood supporter before the Blues drafted him.

They say that both him and Ange Christou used to get score updates on Collingwood games from the Carlton runners. This was back when everyone played on a Saturday arvo.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

Surely not! Ange in the U19s, yes, but can they really barrack for Collingwood now? They are premiership players!

Pretty unprofessional, but I've heard this and that they used to wear Collingwood jumpers to training, which didnt go down to well.

They played and won the 1995 flag for Carlton. Kouta even captained the club. Neither played for Collingwood. Maybe we could have gone after either, lord knows we needed help in the late 90s. And possibly could have been the difference in 2002/03? Who knows?

The "Collingwood jumper to training" was just U19 stuff. Big difference.

Koutoufides was recruited from Lalor by Carlton in 1990, and played fifty games in the reserves, where he won the 1991 best and fairest.
Makes you think if he really wanted to play for Collingwood, he would have found a way.

In saying that nearly every AFL player is not playing for the club he barracked for growing up.

I think we missed out a bit more by not getting Dermie and Dipper, back in the day.

Wasn't Frankston a Whorethorn zone in the pre-draft days though?
Dipper was Kew maybe?

Both Frankston and Kew were Hawthorn zones.

Dipper was from Kew.
