The Williamstown Football Club has commenced signing new players for the 2004 VFL season and at present can boast signing five new players - Anthony Chui, Ryan Crawford, Gary Lee, Tevita Tavelangi and Ricky Watts.
Anthony Chiu is a small midfielder/backpocket with the heart and courage of a lion. He is willing to throw himself at any contest and has shown plenty of promise in his junior career with the Western Jets, which includes being the joint winner of the Barry Round Medal for the Western Jets Best and Fairest player for the 2003 season.
Ryan Crawford is a left-footed winger who spent 2003 on Sydney's Rookie List. Strong performances for NSW/ACT in the 2002 National Under-18 Championships underlines his talent.
Gary Lee is a youngster who spent 2003 playing for the Northern Eagles in Queensland's state league.
Tevita Tavelangi returns to the club after a year playing basketball. Tavelangi is a solid key forward capable of busting open packs. Tavelangi was a member of the 2002 reserves premiership side and is a welcome addition to the squad.
Ricky Watts is a 19 year old who has graduated through the ranks of Gisborne and was part of their 2003 premiership side in the Bendigo Football League. He has been given his opportunity and will be keen to impress.
The Club is still in the recruiting process and more signings will be announced as they are confirmed.

In addition to what I've already posted, have received further word on who Williamstown have signed, and who have left.
Of the additions, add, to the above list, Clinton Proctor (Gippsland Power) who did pre-season with Collingwood in 2003, Ricky Palmer (Oak Park) and Stephen Maher (Spotswood).
With the strength of the 2003 playing list, the club has retained 26 players from last season.
Of those who have left the club: Reserves co-captain Ben Kelly (Tullamarine - Assistant Coach), Tom Hill (returned home to Sydney), Scott Taylor (Epping), Clint Runnalls (not playing football in 2004) and Craig Anderson (Epping).
