Dont forget that with the retirement of Spider Burton, Kangaroo-listed rucks David Hale and Hamish McIntosh will spend more time at North this season. Port have lost Adrian DeLuca to Carlton, and from what Ive seen at the Borough this season, we might have to rotate a few of our key position talls into the ruck on occasion.

Port have lost their captain Brent Evans, with players moving to other clubs such as Roos rookie Clinton Alleway to Box Hill and 3rd year players Ben Phibbs (70 odd goals at VFL reserves level) and Sam Anstey both to Frankston.

Hopefully a few of our younger players will really make the step up, with Rob Cheevers, Josh Gibson and maybe Sam Troon spending a lot of the season in the firsts.. Steve Lawrence has trained well, in the few times I've got down to training, and Im hoping his influence on the younger players will be a positive one.

cheers,
David

When did this become a Port Melbourne forum?

MG, why not follow the link on onslaught's post and post your Port thoughts there.

We all know how you feel about the Collingwood / Williamstown alliance, so please take it elsewhere.

No, not at all onslaught.

Last season, Greg wanted to know why Williamstown weren't the Collingwood reserves and playing in the black-and-white. He never could fathom that Williamstown have their own identity and will remain that way.

I don't begrudge him for being a Port supporter, but this is a Williamstown forum and should remain as such.

Just so no one is under any misaprehension, any posts / threads in this forum that show favour to any VFL club other than Williamstown will be treated in the same manner that pro-Carlton sentiments would in any other forum on Nick's.

You have been warned.
