Round 15, 2016 at Frankston Park
Frankston 12.5.77, def by
Collingwood 22.11.143

Collingwood: 9
Frankston: 4
How They Fared Last Week:
Port Melbourne 9.14.68, def by
Collingwood 10.10.70
Frankston - BYE
The Permutations:
- If Collingwood win, they can move as high as 4th at the end of the round, pending favourable results in the matches between Box Hill and Casey (Casey win preferable) and Williamstown and Port Melbourne (Port Melbourne win required) with a round to go.
- If Collingwood lose, they will remain in 6th at the end of the round and, pending the result of the match between Williamstown and Port Melbourne (Williamstown win), effectively be eliminated from the race for 4th place with a round to go.
Note:
- This will be the first time Collingwood and Frankston have met since the Dolphins were re-admitted into the competition. As such, it will be 768 days since the two clubs played in a game for premiership points.
- Following on from that, due to the vagaries of fixturing and Frankston's aforementioned recess from the VFL, this will be the first time that Frankston have made the trip to Victoria Park since Round 3 of 2013. On that day, it was the Dolphins who triumphed, leading a depleted and disappointing Collingwood at every change to run out winners by 13 points. However, it is a match that few Collingwood supporters would remember because at the same exact same time, the action was down the road at the MCG, as just under 82,000 people watched Travis Cloke turn the Greatest Defender Who Ever Lived in the Whole Wide History of Ever into lunchmeat.
Milestone:
Sean Hetherington - 50 games (Williamstown and Collingwood)

I'll watch that centre line with great interest.
Daics has had a week without playing, so I'll be looking forward to seeing how he does. (He's also an AFL emergency)
Great to see Wills back. He might run out of time to get another crack at AFL level this year.
Fasolo will hopefully rip the Dolphins to shreds. He needs to.
McLarty to keep impressing too hopefully.
Goldsack not named.

11th hour update to the Broadcast section of the OP. It's come to my attention that we'll be on 3SER radio today. Previously, they were set down to call the Box Hill vs Casey game yesterday (which was won by Box Hill handsomely, which is somewhat unhelpful), but it seems they were switched to call our game.
I say "it seems", because they were scheduled to call our game against Williamstown (even advertised it), but didn't actually end up calling it. So, don't lash out at me if the links aren't pumping out a 3SER call come 1pm.

There is a bar in the concourse under the Sherrin Stand and I think that opens after 12...?paulie wrote:Heading out to my first VFL game of the season looking forward to a beer or three at the game. What time can one get a beer before the game from as i would rather give my beer money to the club over a local pub if possible.

Jack Hellier wins the toss, we're kicking to the Yarra Falls end, with the aid of the wind.
No rain, at least not yet. Blue-ish skies with plenty of cloud around. Let's see how long it stays like this.
Alex Woodward a late withdrawal with general soreness, says he'll play next week.
Okay, this is it. Welcome back to Victoria Park, Frankston Dolphins!
