Any injuries?
Perhaps you should have --- just to see a few glimpses of the new kids.
No injuries that we know about. Bruise-free 'football', though that of course is not enough to prevent injuries at Pie land.
The commentators (BT et al.) seemed oddly defensive, pointing out midway through the broadcast that there hadn't been any injuries. Weird.
I like Adam Simpsons idea. Make it a comp for U23s.
Nobody really gives a stuff about but the kids get exposed to a few crowds and the AFL still get their wish of buying into the off season and keeping soccer and cricket off the back page.
Gary Player “ the harder I practice, the luckier I get “
Watching he best vs the best might make it watchable. Imagine a team of Pendles, Daisy, Didak, Krakoeur, Shaw, Leon and Sidebottom running around together. That might be fun.
The VFLW is better to watch and that's saying something. It's merely a training drill and the coaches will use it to get players fit, expose young players to fast paced bruise free footy. After I saw our first draft pick in action and my mates nephew play for the crows I was pretty much over it. I watered the grass at the rear of my house and sat in a chair with a cold beer to watch the grass grow. That was more entertaining. When does JLT start?
Exactly as above. Forget about the type of game it is. Focus on what Aish, Murphy, Stephenson and Magden were doing and that's what you get out of it (and winning whatever the competition is when the jumper represents us).
