No need for the red ink as Bevan departs for a well crafted, calculated determined innings of 1 run....lol I was way off in my prediction of 20 runs.
There appears to be some confusion with Bevans stats from the website
was it 1 ( 8 )
or 0 ( 8 )

Agit Agarkar took 6/42 to take the edge off a very good effort from the Aussies.
288 will win most games but the feeling is it's just made this one exciting for the big crowd. At least Lee isn't in the bowling attack.
Symonds made 88 and Harvey kept the scoreboard ticking over with 28 from 24.
Donny.
It's a game. Enjoy it.

Indians ground fielding was pretty terrible, batting was pretty good by the Aussies, Damein Martyn and Bevan didn't ad much.

As I said, Bevo would come in, sum up the situation and bat for the team.
This was not the day to hang around so he didn't. End of story.

India are 94 after 17 overs.
They are behind the required run rate but have all wickets in hand. Tendulkar is 53 n.o. from 51 balls.

I think Martyn will be dropped pretty soon as he doesnt bowl or have any other strings to his bow. I don't think he is anything special.

Big wicket for the Aussies as Tendulkar has gone. Sounds like it was a blinder of a catch by Ponting based on the comments on the radio.

The Aussies are getting to know more and more how Sach plays.
Again tonight, he raced to his 50 with the field up then scored 10 from his next 20 balls.
The Aussies pounced.
Ponting set the right field and got him. You're becoming a bit transparent, Sachin.

What type of catch did it take to get rid of Sachin ??
What was Sachins strike rate ?? Was it around 50 or something by the sounds of things ??

Was a very good catch, mate. A one hander, overhead.
As I said, Sach raced to 50 at run-a-ball then scored 10 from 20.

The Victorian is shining brightly as he runs out Harvey with a direct hit.
Brilliant work

What a sight !!
Sure looks great. A big crowd at the G going OFF and seeing the Aussies take 6/13 to win an excellent game.
Ganguly got 82 from 83 balls but ran himself out.
Harvey took 3/52, Symonds, 2/47 and Williams, 2/52

To me it looked like his batting partner ran out Ganguly by sending him back ?? Was only watching fox sports highlights though.
Pontings catch from what i saw was Mark Waugh like and was a crucial wicket.
First blood to the aussie but more to the point it was the young bloods of Clarke and Symonds that did the damage.
