Tendulkar is 30 years old
Hayden 32 years old
Gilchrist 32 years old
Lara 34 years old
Dravid 30 years old
Ponting 29 years old
It is quite easy to think Tendulkar is old stager but in reality its just because he has been that consistent and that good for that long.

The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando.

Because I don't bowl to him.
What would you expect those two bowlers to say ??
Especially Warney. "Oh he's not all that good. Yeah, he's one of the very few batsmen who can hit me around but I don't really rate him."
Who's in denial ? Whenever I produce figures like in my previous post, you refuse to acknowledge them.

I find it hard to believe you can continually bag Tendulkar. He has made 32 centuries I predict he will get close to 50 before the end of his career. He has made 9000 career runs an is only 30. He will probably get close to 15,000, when he absolutely smashes AB's record for test runs will you still claim he is not a champion?

I haven't bagged Sacred Sach once SoS. I've tried to put things in perspective. Where have I said he's not a champion ?
I've simply pointed out things like he's had 8 scores under 10 from his last 13 innings and Ponting's record is FAR superior to his over the last two seasons. It was you who said, "There are 3 stand out batsmen in the world TODAY."
Because JLC kept on about consistency, I mentioned in his 14 year career he's had 69 innings under 20 in Tests to go with his 32 tons which makes him one of the most inconsistent batsmen in world cricket.
These are facts, not opinion. Facts (the ratings) indicate he's the 16th. best batsman in world cricket. Yes, he'll come up a few places after his double ton but Ponting, Dravid and Hayden have EARNED their top 3 spots.
Anyway, who cares if he's scored 32 centuries ? Only 9 of those helped his team win a Test match. Isn't that the whole idea ?

Both are fanstactic players......Lara has been splendid against a pretty decent bowling attack on their home soil with a team that is not performing well.
They both have one thing in common and that is they are idolised by their home fans which adds extra pressure.
Will be interesting to see how other players go when their team struggles.
