Bit of a rumour circulating up here the AFL are going to try and parachute Clarkson into the job on $2.5m a year on a long term (said to be 5 or more years) deal and have him as the face of the game up here
Would leave the hawks job open to someone like Ratten or maybe even Bolton coming back from the scum since he is only a employee not a contracted coach
Watch this space might be some musical chairs going on

Pack up the whole mess and ship it down to Tassy. For all the concessions this club has been given they are no where near enjoying any form of success.
One crippled club in Qld is enough.
From Eade's perspective he should have stayed in his cushy job at the Pies. Every time I spotted him on TV he looked like he ageing quicker than a peeled banana.

Agreed he was much happier doing the Blackmores Injury Update than Walshy looks. He is always struggling with that clip board.Member 7167 wrote:Pack up the whole mess and ship it down to Tassy. For all the concessions this club has been given they are no where near enjoying any form of success.

However it may or not apply to us, it is one example of how replacing the senior coach didn't work.
Far be it from me to say, because I know nothing of what may have been happening behind closed doors, but Guy McKenna sure seemed to be doing ok, and if not for some late season injuries would have made finals at least once. In fact didn't the suns improve each year (well ok they had little elsewhere to go) whereas they went backwards under Eade.
Clearly what they thought was a good idea and would bring results, didn't.

Go Pies!
How could anyone coach a group of young men into believing that footy should be their priority when its its schoolies week up there for 52 weeks of the year.
It's simply the wrong place to even attempt to develop a good culture. It's akin to giving the keys of the coop to the foxes.
