Bulls score huge victory

Fox Sports

A STUNNING all-round performance by Queensland fast bowler Ashley Noffke today spearheaded the Bulls to a punishing Pura Cup victory over South Australia at the 'Gabba.

Queensland dominated the match to win by an innings and 137 runs inside three days and leap to joint second place on the competition table.

Leading by 293 runs on the first innings, the Bulls routed South Australia for 156 in their second dig, with no batsman passing 33.

Test aspirant Michael Kasprowicz captured 3-16 in 18 tight overs, while Joe Dawes took 3-31 and Noffke 2-37.

It completed a six-wicket match haul for Noffke who also scored an unbeaten 114 to share in a record 218-run seventh-wicket stand with debutant wicketkeeper Chris Hartley (103).

The win sees the Bulls move to equal second with Tasmania on 14 points from five matches on the Cup table, while the Redbacks slip down a position to fourth on 12.
