MacGill is finished. He needed to maintain pressure but has been way too expensive when runs were at a premium. Hohns and the selectors look stupid now anyway as they said Warne will have to earn his spot etc......Warne could rock up with a ciggie and a beer can and be 10kg over weight and be a better bowler than MacGill.

Australia copping a rare Test defeat has done two things.
1. It's added real drama to the series and should pack the G for the next Test. Waugh's finale has already guaranteed a packed SCG for the last.
2. It's attracted my old sparring partner, JLC, back into the Sports Bar. He's a little short of form, however, forgetting to mention a bottle of pills and a cellphone in Warney's back pocket.

I still hope Australia wins the series as the majority of players i like i just hope this defeat reduces the arrogance of the Australian players, selectors, media and supporters. The Australian batsman should hang their head in shames as at worst the Aussies should have got a draw.
India were basically shown no respect through out the tour so far and now have made the Aussies pay a hefty price.
Well its better than carrying around a dummy like MacGill does.
Australia must also be regretting not having a test match in Perth. This victory is merely a bonus to the Indians as i thought they could only win in Sydney.

Chappelli just said, "The tie is on - Australia just need 5/0"
Well now they need 4/0 as Katich bowls Patel. Lol.
Dravid gets the winning run. Great win by India.
Dravid scored 305 for once out and should get Man of the Match.

Should've, could've, hang their head in shame ? What nonsense.
Australia play exciting, attacking cricket. They win a very high percentage of Test matches. Occasionally, they lose. So what ?
Good for India. With spirited players like Dravid, Laxman and Agarkar, they will probably win more than they lose over the next few years.

Well lets see what Buchanan says as i dont think he would be too pleased. I thought it showed a lack of respect to the Indians by blazing away willy nilly and most of the batsman from the reports i hears on the radio got themselves out and the pitch was not to blame.
Indias batting is world class but dont try and tell me an attack led by Argarkar is going to win too many test matches.....please If Kahn was in the team it would be a stronger attack.

I think you will find that Rahul Dravid made a comment relating to Australias arrogance.
I think when supporters i do believe on this board, started saying that Australia could field a second test team and still win well that is arrogance. Essendon supporters started sprouting similar rubbish after thei 2000 Premiership year.
When people in the media started saying that Waugh wont break the record because he wont have too many innings as Aussies wont have to bat much well thats arrogance.

JLC,
You mention, Dravid, 'supporters (plural) i do believe on this board' and 'people in the media' in relation to your perception of Australian arrogance.
Unless you can source these claims, they are just exaggeration and generalisation.
In a previous post on this page, you also state, "i just hope this defeat reduces the arrogance of the Australian players, selectors, media and supporters" - same stuff.
If you can come up with a particular quote from a player or selector your comments would carry some weight.
As a balance, I agree SOME journos and Aussie supporters display an embarrassing degree of jingoism and arrogance.
