Pakistan made 6/281.

Elahi (70 from 69), Farhat (67) and Hameed (53) set it up and, once again, Razzaq brought it home with 42 from 16 balls.

Vettori took 3/44.

After 32 overs, The Black Caps are 4/136 with Jones on 54 n.o.

At 4/155, NZ was in with a chance but Malik dismissed Jones for 63 with the last ball of the 36th. over.

Mohammad Sami returned to the bowling crease and completed a team hat trick with wickets from the first 2 balls. He also took wickets with the last 2 balls of the same over !!

He made it 5/2 in 11 balls with the 5th. ball of his next over and NZ had lost 6/2 in 18 balls to go down in a spectacular heap.

Sami (5/10 from 7.5 overs) was awarded Man of the Match.

After their 50 overs, Pakistan had run up 7/314.

An opening partnership of 142 in 30.3 overs from Farhat (91) and Hameed (63) set the scene.

Youhana continued the good scoring with 64 then Inzi hit 25 from 18 balls, Razzaq thumped 34 from only 16 and Malik scored 15 from 7.

No NZ bowler came out of the avalanche unscathed. Walker did take 4 wickets but went for 49 from 7 overs.

Razzaq has now scored 123 runs from 54 balls in this series, so far.

The Black Caps lost an early wicket and in the 10th. over, they are 1/33 and require 7 r.p.o. to win.

They were behind all the way and came up short by 51 runs.

Hamish Marshall, in only his 3rd. ODI, scored a fine 101 from 109 balls but Mohammad Sami (3/22 from 8 overs) dismissed Harris, Cairns and McCullum before any of them could get a quicktime partnership going with him.

New Zealand have started badly and now are:

168/5 (41.0 ov) require another 110 runs with 5 wickets and 52 balls remaining.

Not looking good for the Kiwi's.

Marshall on 36 off 39 and maCullum on 5
