Tom Boyd = Geoff Hayward

Post by merolz »

Desperate club pays way too much for an unproven talent
The kid proves to be a headache as he fails to live up to the hype
Coach and club build belief
Club breaks long standing premiership drought, the kid delivers big time on the biggest stage
"Up there Cazaly..."

Tom Boyd - an acknowledged champion or a kid with potential?
He came up behind him like a librarian

Good call. FWIW, I thought he should have won the Norm Smith.

Stood up on the day and proved himself to be the most important big man on the field when it counted. Did more than buddy and tippet combined and should've won the norm smith as well.

If Beverage hadn't coached them to the flag, they were getting Rostoff...

I thought Boyd and Picken were the Dogs best players on the day.

Kennedy was outstanding for Sydney especially in the second quarter when they were mounting a comeback.

Tom Boyd - not just a kid with potential but far from a champion.
Needs several seasons playing like he did on Saturday to be given the champion tag.

Also I'd wonder about his relationship with his mum.

I wonder if he too saw the prince of seagulls on Saturday.
