Good coach all round, no doubt of it, will be In big demand now. Anyway, the Welfare have their long overdue flag, so no more handouts to them, and to that whingeing bloody peter Gordon. Time for the Pies to shut up shop on welfare handouts, and look after our own backyard now, time we got more ruthless and nasty, to these so called down and out clubs. They hate our guts, so stuff them.

If only he coached Collingwood, then we could talk about him in GD. Oh well.

What? A coach that was expected to learn the ropes as an assistant with no conditions attached! Oh the horror! And parko as a tutor! I need to sit down, I'm dizzy

Radical concept, isn't it?

I loved this moment, Bob is such a gentleman of the game and has a massive passion for the Dogs and embodies the spirit of them. It was good he was able to be handed the medal. I wish he was playing.

Bevo is clearly first class, and that was a great gesture by him.

Yep - ranks with John Landy helping Ron Clarke to his feet. Amazing selfless generosity of spirit. Long after hundreds of other acts on the football field have been forgotten, that gesture will be remembered fondly and held up as an example of the true meaning of what it means to really belong and commit to a team.

Beveridge really is a class act. I'll bet he was glad to get away from Hawthorn.

Started at a local level as well completing a feat never done before or since in the VAFA winning 3 flags in 3 seasons from C Grade to A grade. Not a bad CV, 3 local flags, 3 AFL flags as an assistant and now an AFL flag as senior coach.

7 flags and a GF loss in the last 11 seasons...

I thought so too but he's been acting like a massive dick since then. He's not a premiership player, so he needs to recede into the background and let the players take centre stage. Every image I see is him holding up the cup.

I have to agree, it was time for Bob to disappear pretty much right after Bevo gave him that medal. Honestly he just feeling sorry for himself and there are a lot of far better players before him that never got one either.

Needs to sux it move on and either retire or go around again.
