Geelong couldn't cope with Sydney's brusing midfield. Besides Dangerfield & Selwood the Cats don't bat deep - certainly not with tough inside mids and they were steamrolled early.
But the Dogs have Boyd, Bontempelli, Liberatore, Hunter, Macrea, Dahlhouse, Morris, Picken who can all rotate for centre clearances / stoppages and just get their hands on the ball first.
If the Dogs can withstand the initial Swans onslaught then it will be game on. If scores are still close by say Q2 10min, then it may be a ripper game to the finish.

Got a feeling that Doggies just played their Grand Final. With all the celebrating and looks of complete but utter relief (an achievement thus far that is totally understandable). However, I reckon they will come out firing and give a respectable first half, but possibly a blowout to Swans in second half. If..and a big If, the Dogs are within 2 goals at 3Qtr time, then I will take what I said back and Guts , drive and determination will get them over the line ..in a thriller!
So my two predictions are..Swans by plenty (given the first case scenario) 8 goal win.
Second case scenario..Dogs by 2 points.
Hoping for the second, but money$ on the first.

Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!
I know what you mean skaman, but I thought the same after the Dogs win against the Eagles in Perth. They've got a great spread of talent and they are all absolutely fierce at the ball. to win last night without a ruckman was absolutely heroic. The swans, especially with Buddy in such great form have to be favourites, but I wouldn't discount the possibility of an upset. It demonstrates the importance of team spirit and camaraderie. The Dogs have got bucket loads of spirit and a champion team will always beat a team of champions. The Swans have to be clear favourites, but it would be a mistake to write off the Dogs.AN_Inkling wrote:It's amazing the Dogs have even made the GF. They're a good team, but not that good. I don't expect them to get close to the Swans.

Franklin is of course the X-factor here; he is capable of turning the game with a tin-arse burst at any point in the match. Hope he doesn't though.
We might see a record set for number of tackles in a Grand Final too.

I ma going back to Australia (Qld) for 2 weeks Tuesday. You want 2 weeks free rent in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house 2 hours from Bangkok. Have wifi and cable. All I ask is you feed Tukky the poodle, take her for a walk and water the plants. Bars and restaurants walking distance and a pool and Gym. Market opposite nearest bar. I will leave the key in the the nearest bar and my laptop is staying.think positive wrote:I don't want anyone to win.

I am sure everyone will have a little Red white and blue next saturday.[/quote]
My birthday. I will have a red and hopefully one almighty blue in the GF. My Singha comes with a white label. Thats as far as my largesse goes for 2 clubs that have leached off the competition for years. Do we have anyone who can win the sprint?
