The historian and traditionalist in me outweighed the fact that I am a western suburbs of Sydney fellow by birth tonight.

One of the best prelims in living memory.

For mine, GWS and GCS have no place in the AFL; it should've been left as a 16 team competition IMHO.

I was right in the heart of Sydney in '96 and it truly was one of the best nights out I've had.

Despite this fond memory, I'll be going for the 'scray - I never thought I'd see them play in a GF. I'm also a romantic. I love the struggle street, I grew up on it.

Genuine sons of the west over corporate shite every single day of the week thanks.

Ramble over.

Most people will support the Dogs.

Still gobsmacked they made the Grand Final after finishing 7th. Crazy!

Love the doggies to win for Picken but the head says this could well be a 100 plus margin for the Swans. I hope the lift taking the 2 presidents to their superbox gets jammed and they spend 4 hours locked in there after a free meal of curry, beans and a lot of beer. And their phone batteries are dead.

I had a multibet on Sydney and GWS to win. But ended up yelling at the TV for the doggies. Good on them its rare you see a side that you can say has really and honestly earned sucess.

I am sure everyone will have a little Red white and blue next saturday.

Yes but it's seems it's perfectly acceptable to hate Collingwood, but we are expected to be happy for others! Not me, **** em.

Dogs match up well vs Syd. They've beaten them a couple of times in Syd over the past 2-3 seasons as well.

Yep, stuff them.
At dinner last night people were shocked when I said I would be barracking for the Swans. Surely I would support a Vic team especially Bulldogs. The only thing good about it is maybe they will stop their whinging and asking for handouts from everyone else.

And tomorrow I will get to work and have women who know nothing about footy (and normally have no interest), wanting to talk to me about how wonderful the Bulldogs are, how good it is for footy, blah, blah blah - just because they live in the western suburbs.

Although, I am happy for any long suffering Dogs supporters who have gone to every game & put their time and energy into sticking with their team over the years. I am happy to talk footy with anyone who actually goes to games & supports their team.

Love to see the doggies win, but this has the smell of 1980 to me.

Honestly fear it could be a blowout.
