Jaeger O'Meara chooses Hawthorn

Gold Coast Suns Jaeger O'Meara chooses Hawthorn as destination club

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/g ... rf467.html

They always manage to get a great player irrespective of where they are on the ladder. Unbelievable.....

And YES Jackcass, threads like this just reek of irrational petty jealousy. :P
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

It was expected. When will clubs learn? Don't deal with the Hawks. You always lose out.

Time for GCS to do a Ross Lyon

its pretty dumb, by the time he gets on the field (2018) all their stars would be retired.

they will be the shell of a side.

Maybe JOM will be the same?
I presumed about a year ago that they've left the #1 jumper deliberately vacant for O'Meara.

O'Rourke is a spud.

He's nominated Hawthorn.

Gold Coast are stuck because if O'Meara is unwilling to be traded to any other club then they'll lose him for nothing since he's out of contract, and he'll just enter the pre-season draft where Essendon would most likely recruit him.

Hawthorn hold all the cards here unfortunately.

Hawthorn hold nothing. Essendon could let a player go for nothing to GC and GC don't move on him. Hawks lose.If JOM doesn't like it he can stand out for a year meaning 3 years without a game. Anyway he can go to Hawks all he likes, Because they won't win 6 games by less than a kick and will miss the finals. There will be no sympathy for dawks and in 4 years , maybe 3, he will be left with Breust, Hartung and and some Scotch college nancy boy as his protector.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
