Isn't the Casey game the decider for top spot? Isn't the lowest we can drop 2nd? Who cares about today - fantastic season by Dale and his team. I couldn't be more impressed. Go Pies.

A win or a draw for us wins us the minor premiership.

A loss means we have to rely on Box Hill (out of the running for finals) beating Casey, who are one of the front-runners for the flag. A win also would have kept us clear of our bogey side Williamstown.

So yes, today did mean something, certainly to those of us who have been loyally following this side week in, week out.

Meanwhile, Macaffer gets a consolation goal...

66-93.

Stoppage 25 from home.

Whistle blown, free kick... going to Goodyear!

AND 50!

Dogs fans mightily annoyed, as Wozza nails it from the top of the square...

All I can say is, thank God we're not playing them here in finals.

That's the good news.

The bad news is, is that it is possible we could get this mob again next week, if the results were to fall a certain way...

If the Dogs fans are feral I'm not sure what that makes Dave - but we love him anyway!

We've had a great season!

I see this as a small blip more than anything else and hopefully we'll fire up for the finals.

Thanks MB. The loss we had to have.

We wont be back at the kennel and I sensed we put the cue in the rack when it got a bit hard.

Full Time.

Footscray 16.9.105
Collingwood 10.13.73

GOALS - Hellier 2, Macaffer 2, Goodyear, Gault, Cox, Indovino, Still, Moloney

Collingwood finish their home and away season on 14 wins and 4 losses.

And with the result of the Box Hill vs Casey match still to come in, the Magpies will have to wait and see whether or not they hold top spot.

Should the Scorpions prevail, Collingwood will finish 2nd and play Williamstown next Saturday afternoon...

Over to you...
