N.S.W declared at 8/208 with Grag Mail 107 n.o. Wright took 4/50. Griffith and Downton took 2 each.

Mark Waugh made 41. Katich and Stevo made 328 between them in the first innings. They made 322 less in the second. Funny game. :D

That left Tassie needing 385 from a minimum of 109 overs. They are 1/26 at stumps.

NSW should have Tassie out by lunch, you think seeing as Steve Waugh helps charities he would help Tassie? ;) Maybe we could try and get the other Flower to Australia and he could play for us, atleast that would be a start.

It dosn't help when NSW have a few stars in their side, who used 2 and are still playing for Australia while Tassie really dosn't have that many apart from Pointing who won;t be playing alot this year as he's Aussie one day captain(good on ricky i say),so i 4 1 don;t really take much notice of the state cricket season :D

After an hour, Tassie are 2/56 with MacGill getting Cox for 18.

Seems to me, Waugh waited too long to declare. If Tassie had a somewhat more reasonable total to chase, they'd be more likely to lose wickets in the chase.

As it is, the 28 overs bowled have yielded only 56 runs so it doesn't look like The Tigers are interested. Did you forget, Steve ? They don't have a Katich or a Steve Waugh.

But, say the Tigers, we DO have a Di Venuto and a Watson. :D

They are batting positively and have added 98 in 30 overs.

At lunch, Di Venuto is 58 n.o. and Watson, 42.

I've been listening to commentary and there has been some fairly ordinary bowling from The Blues. Long hops and full tosses have been taken full toll of.

With 260 runs needed from 64 overs, the game is still very much in favour of a draw or a N.S.W. win but if these two can keep their wickets, the last session could be very interesting.

We've just seen the two extremes of Stuart MacGill.

A gem of a ball which spins and takes the edge. Wicket.

Then his second ball to the new batsman is a full toss on the leg side. Batsman gets off the mark with a six !! :D  :D

This looks going down to the wire. Tassie are right in it.

Di Venuto is still there on 131 and Marsh is on 48.

It now becomes a one dayer scenario. 126 balls to come and Tasmania needs 105 to win.

It must be said the conditions are against N.S.W. It's extremely hot and windy which has to make it more difficult for the bowlers than the batsmen.

It would be the 11th. highest chase to win in Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup history, Paul.

From 16 overs, they need 82 runs to win.

Di Venuto is 143 n.o. and Marsh, 59.
