The declaration came at 5/453.
Mark Waugh was 43 n.o. and Brad Haddin, 40.
The 453 may not be enough.
Steve Waugh and Katich are exceptional batsmen but the Bellerive wicket is so often a run feast that Tassie will take their time and try for the 2 points.

Scott Mason and Shane Watson added 90 for the second wicket. Mason made 58 and Watson, 37.
The Tigers are 3/133, 320 behind. Nicholson has taken 2/29 from 11 overs.

Di Venuto was run out for 36 and Dan Marsh is 45 n.o.
Tasmania need 305 to avoid the follow on and at 5/208 they still have a bit of work to do.

Well, a batting wicket it may be but MacGilla certainly liked it. He took 5/79 to help dismiss the Tassie Tigers for 276.
Waugh could have forced the follow on but didn't. For those wondering, in a four day match, the follow on number is 150, not 200 as it is in Tests.
It seems a strange decision, having a 177 lead, but maybe Tugga is still a bit wary after his Indian experience.

Two quick wickets to Griffith (2/11) - Slater for 18 and Jaques for a duck - sees N.S.W. on 2/34 after 10 overs.

Hows Nicki hitting them at the moment?? Perhaps the Blues can switch the initial from M to N. Not much money for a Testy recall for her dearly beloved, methinks.
he's an animal, what can u expect!!!
