one of the Afl's golden childs on a criminal drugs charge, I be it fades from the papers quicker than any other story involving a Collingwood player.

If it was a Collingwood player we wouldn't have heard the end of it.
Ultimately, the Bulldogs will be laughing that they offloaded him while they had the chance and dodged a bullet in the process.

James Talia, now a convicted drug felon, but not a front page one, yet the Dane Swan pic with titties in front is a 'scandal' the scandel is why isnt the real scandal a scandal?

^^^ Except that he hasn't been convicted. He's pleaded guilty and been placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
Also, does he really qualify as a "drug felon" if all he did was possess a drug for personal use (presumably, he didn't have a commercial quantity of it or he would have been charged with trafficking or some similar offence)? It isn't like he's been caught trying to import 5 kgs of heroin into the country.
