i'm a big greg murphy fan but love skaifey as well
in the F1's i'm a big Kimi fan i jumped on his bandwagon the moment he came into formula 1 with sauber, and of course Mark Webber. however since the Oz grand prix i have really admired fernando alonso and congrats to him for this weekends awesome performance in the hungarian GP

Followed Grand Prix bikes from around Gardner/Rainey days, F1 cars from Brabham/Moss (late 50s) and always loved Bathhurst.
Just love those V8s. Got two myself. In HZ wagons.
I saw an old Bathurst recently and had to chuckle when I saw a Cortina get a flat tyre and the driver gets out, opens the boot, takes out a jack, wheel spanner and spare and procedes to change his tyre !!

I know I'm a bit late with this topic but I LOVE the V8's - nothin like the roar of a big V8 engine doing over 250kph! I'm hoping to get to at least one race next year (either Sandown or Winton) and cheer on the HRT and the main man Skaifey!
After owning a Holden for 14 years I bought a Falcon last year (shock horror! I'm still coming to terms with it!!!!!!!!) - so for some strange reason I now have a soft spot for Marcos Ambrose - as long as he's behind Skaifey of course!
Any tips for Pukekohe this weekend?
I expect Murph will be up there but I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of his. Obviously I'd like Skaifey to win but I hope Ambrose does well enough to keep his lead in the championship as I think he deserves it.
Oh, and great to see the one and only Brocky back racing and doing well in the ProCars in his spiffy Monaro! Maybe he can teach Sam a thing or two!

I know what you mean Geoffy Pie - I get started on the V8's and I don't stop! LOL! It'd be great for Murphy to do well on home soil and I'll be surprised if he doesn't finish well. It will be interesting to see if the 'war' continues between him and Ingall, although I'd like to think it's all in good humour!
I think the rivalry between Holden and Ford is great but I think it goes a bit too far when they start putting in complaints about each other! Like Skaifey's door at Bathurst and Ingall 'butting out' in front of Murph in the pits at Indy. Gets a bit petty sometimes! But then again I suppose there are a lot of points, money and sponsorship at stake!
The V8 Superstars is on Nov 21 at Telstra Dome (a dinner where all the V8 drivers are interviewed and have a bit of a laugh - or war - with each other!). I think Ch10 will be showing it on the following Sunday so I'm looking forward to that as well.
