Aussies v. India - ODI Tri series
India decide to bat first.
Bracken strikes in the first over. Sehwag for a duck - caught by Hayden.

What a disappointment Tendulkar was after promising so much. He dawdled through the 90s and was out as soon as he reached 100, playing a nothing shot.
It's hard to imagine a Hayden, Gilchrist, Ponting or Symonds slowing down after getting into the 80s with a 100 strike rate. There are many things that make a top ODI batsman but what Sach did isn't one of them.
After 44 overs, India are 2/219 with Laxman on 95. Bracken has 2/32.

Laxman was run out for 102 by Symonds and then Singh was caught by Symonds from a Williams full toss for 44.
Coming into the last over, India are on 4/272.
Bracken tries a yorker - 4. 1 from each of the next two. Agarkar hits another 4 and then a 2. Last ball .... caught by Symonds. Agarkar hit 22 from 10 balls.
5/284. Bracken took 3/53.
Australia certainly has the batting to get this target but it will depend on how well the wicket holds up.

During the break, I'll just add some more thoughts to my Tendulkar critisism before any of you Sach fans jump up and down.
India were heading for a 300 + total but Tendulkar took his foot off the pedal and it was only some very good late overs hitting from Singh and Agarkar that got India to the 284 they ended up on.
Laxman did his job. Because Tendulkar was batting at run-a-ball, he supported. He played the backbone innings. Tendulkar hit his last 20 runs from 39 balls. Unacceptable for someone rated as the best ODI batsman in the world.
His strike rate is 86.5. For comparison, Gilchrist's is 92 and Symonds, 90.
He has 35 centuries. I wonder how many of those games India won.
