Biggest mistake they made was sacking Voss prematurely and thinking they would appoint Paul Roos which backfired when he decided to go to Melbourne.
I actually think Voss made some big mistakes early in his coaching career but he was finding his way with coaching in his later years, but the Lions had enough and got rid of him.
It's a little similar to the way Melbourne removed Dean Bailey and brought in Mark Neeld and things deteriorated rapidly in a short space of time.

Major mistake the Lions did was allow Voss the review the football department, then they made more bad decisions after that. It seems most Lion fans are now wanting Leppa sacked as much as they wanted Voss done, seems he was a better assistant coach than an actual coach.
Perhaps the Lions should make him one of the assistants around the club and bring someone else in that can coach properly. But I am happy to see the Lions going further back, a few more years down near the bottom would be okay by me though.

I reckon he's tanking for a retention allowance, old mate Brown certainly wants one . ....more cheap cups heading north ... probably at our expense.

I hope the AFL tells them to get stuffed! They had a dynasty just over a decade ago that most teams can only dream of.
They have to learn to be self-sustainable and not rely on AFL handouts to prop them up.
