HAVING been "100-1" a week ago, Shane Heal is on the brink of a second stint in the NBA after a match-winning performance for San Antonio in a pre-season game yesterday.
Heal scored a game-high 16 points in the Spurs' 103-79 win against the Charlotte Hornets as he plays for a spot on San Antonio's roster.
Heal, 33, has signed a non-guaranteed contract with San Antonio, meaning the Spurs could cut him at any point.
"I hadn't felt comfortable since arriving, and it was good to get my legs back quickly to make some jump shots," Heal said. "The NBA three-point line is a long way back and you need every bit of your legs. It took me longer than expected to feel my old self.
Good to see the little bloke doing well over there.
