Smith should've been pinged for holding the ball in the dying seconds. He took possession of the ball and made absolutely no attempt to get rid of it and he had prior opportunity. And I'm saying that as a person who didn't care who won.
Watch it again. He takes possession and does the whole I'm trying to handball it and can't get it out thing BEFORE he's tackled. Then he's tackled and it spills out.
Faking a handball would be the very definition of prior opportunity
It was a very quick passage of play but the fact that Smith had enough time to fake a handball attempt suggests he had prior opportunity and means that he should have been pinged for holding the ball as a result.
