With all the social media posted by Swanny in Vegas, part of me is surprised that no controversy popped up whilst they were there to be honest.ronrat wrote:Surprised they didn't link it all back to bikies and Didak.barrybc41 wrote:One thing I found annoying was in newspaper article reference was made
that Martin hung out with Swannie over the off season.
What has that got to do with the incident in question.

I seriously don't care!
It is a game of football not a moral and social crusade competition!
If he has done something wrong then let the police deal with it.
I haven't even read the story, I have only seen the headlines.
When I see such headlines I go quickly to the next story.
And so it gets a run on Nicks.
That is football in 2015, when the PC and the thought police rule.

The priority from here is Dustin and what is best for him as a person to accept responsibility and get better.
Can we agree this is best tackled violence on alcohol issue.
From what seems to be best research - such alcohol problems are almost certainly going to occur more often and probably progress to be more violent if he continues to drink.
He needs to be sold this as fact.
1. He needs to commit to himself that his drinking days are over, particularly if other addictive management measures have failed.
Publicly commit to the public that he is off it for good, or damm close to it if the land's best psych isn't capable of getting him that far.
This is also a public safety matter.
Accept a 10-12 game suspension and 100k spread charity contribution, plus significant Marley Williams type time, and thank his lucky stars that something worse has not happened to him whilst he is in that mindset.

I think we can all be thankful he's proficient with the use of chopsticks. I've seen the carnage resulting from wet rice flicked with a spork!3rd degree wrote:thompsoc wrote:I seriously don't care!
