i think he'd be good for the development of some of our young guys. it allows us a bit more flexibility in managing the fitness backline during the season.jackcass wrote:Yep, this. Don't think he's as good as a couple of our emerging kids so why bother.woftam wrote:I think we have more than enough half back flankers on our list right now. No need to add a veteran one as well.
Maynard, Scharenberg, Williams, Sinclair, Langdon & Tooves would all be in front of him for game time.
Just doesn't fit a need in my opinion.

I think he'd be excellent for the development of our young guys. Our running small/mid defenders are Williams, Langdon, Scharenberg and Maynard and whilst they all look exciting propositions for the future, an experienced head like Adcock who's been in that role for the better part of a decade could be fantastic for them; especially barking instructions on match day. The losses of Maxwell, Shaw and Lumumba in previous years has been covered up talent wise, but I think we're definitely lacking a bit of leadership/teaching in this area.
For a delisted FA, I say get Jed.

He's no plodder either, has a match-hardened body, and a decade of pre-season campaigns in the gearbox. And he'll be affordable too...

I am happy to get Adcock if we get him, I think the development factor is a massive plus. He's got the experience we need, he has leadership experience we can very much use. If we get 3 seasons out of him and have him teaching the players in a development role as well then it's a great setup to have.
