The forward line is do congested in this (and most VFL) game. But yes, he should be asserting himself more. The les if Seedsman, Scharenberg, etc. should be dominating...but they don't. So much more effort from the lesser likes and VFL listed players. The standard of comp isn't great, and our AFL boys should be dominating.

earlier in the year, we won a close won in the vfl and lost a close one in the afl. today, we trounced their vfl team and got trounced in the afl. go figure.

The difference, of course, is that Jesse was in the VFL today, whereas he helped the senior team to that great effort earlier in the year.

Not all that much love to give today, dalyc. He had his moments, but was not his best day. Played as a key defender on Reece McKenzie, who had him for size, strength and pace off the mark a number of times.

Can be excused though, because he ain't a key back. Tapping had to go to the well because he didn't have Marsh/Goldsack/Allan et al to choose from and Pendlebury already had to stand McBean...

Great commentary MB! Very much appreciated! :)

Absolutely stoked for Mason Cox! He's really made great progress in the past 12 months. Anyone else stand out today that would be a serious contender for senior selection next week?

Which of our AFL listed players will be eligible to play in the finals for the reserves this year?

this is where team defence is so important. was always going to be a tough ask when all our tall backs, pendles aside, are either injured or in the afl.

MB what do you think of Ash Close?
I liked the look of him yesterday.
Reminded me of Darcy Moore.
Any chance of him being a Rookie for us?
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.
