Hodge the sniper.

Post by mudlark »

Considering the commentary dished about the Nathan Brown incident, particularly from moron No1 ,ling, and the fact Browny was committed to mark ,the suckholing and brown nosing for this sniper, who last night, deliberately trick to break someones neck was the last straw. Hodge has form,as do most hawthorn players, yet the commentators, most of them at least, were doing their best to deflect the fact that Hodge intentionally lined up Wingard, took his eyes off the ball, stuck his elbow out and wrapped his neck around the post.Mark McClure was the only one who said it was NOT a good look and stopped short of saying it was a low act, just like he DID do to Nathan Brown the week before.
Hodge should get AT LEAST 3 weeks. It was intentional, high contact and contact with the head. Does anyone think there was "NOTHING in it" or should Hodge get his full whack?

Could have had his neck broken with that low down act.
But hey it is Hawthorn so Hodge might not get pinged!
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Not only will hodge be cleared the AFL are giving Browny another 4 weeks too make up for not charging hodge.
If he doesn't get 4-6 weeks for that then the AFL have no credibility at all in regards to player safety/welfare.
He could have broken a blokes neck just because it didn't happen and the player kept playing doesn't take away from the fact it had the ability to do significant harm or injury.

Should be referred straight to the Tribunal - the MRP has no way of allocating a "standardised" penalty for deliberately wedging a guy's head into the goalpost with a hip and elbow. What he was even doing laying that challenge is a very serious question. If the AFL actually wanted to clean up the spectacle, they'd deregister Hodge for that.

I didn't think it was that bad. The goal post has padding and Hodge could've hit him a lot harder if he wanted to. He'll probably get a week though but at his age he'll welcome a week's rest at this time of year.

The point post made a "routine" reportable incident much worse. That would normally be a week in my view but remember he has already been suspended for 3 weeks this year.

I reckon he will get two weeks.

Hodge has form. Scumbag of the highest order in my view. So too was Clarkson when he played - all elbows against person in a vulnerable position. But he can play good footy.

He will get a minimum of 2 weeks. It will freshen him up for the finals and they will win both games despite his loss

Just saw the incident and agree that he lined him up and was a very dangerous action. You can see Hodge mutter an "Ohhhh" just immediately afterwards so he knew how bad that hit could have ended up. Just for the fact he delivered that hit in that situation is a dog act and he deserves 3 weeks to think about his decision making on field...sniper of the worst kind, so is Lewis and Mitchell.

Yep, agree, the MRP love the piss and poop, i doubt he willl even be cited, he is a well known hitman and sniper too. That red pig Ling and his wanking mate Carey carried on like some kinda **** over Brown, Ling went berserk over it, the Pies hating red swine. Notice too how they all went quiet and sullen when their pecious dawks lost, Mcaveney was nearly sobbing with heartbreak, bloody tools all of em. :x

Disagree, the piss an poop are in real trouble, teams are working them out now, hell,we should have beaten them with a bunch of bloody kids ! They are ageing fast, hold sniper hodge, mitchell, and ravioli, and they are very beatable. old man Lake is well past it too, now a big liability. Everything ends eventually mate ! :P
