We'll have good midfield again this week with Kenners, Moloney, Greenwood and Grundy playing. Hopefully can kick a winning score with Gault and the resting ruckman as the forward talls. We need The Big Show to be more than a No Show.

Bit of history being made in our game today (Dave will just love this, what with him being Chief Umpire Appreciator around these parts...
):
History will be made in the Peter Jackson VFL this weekend with the first female boundary umpire to officiate a senior game.
Shannessy Adams will run the boundary in the Round 12 Collingwood versus Sandringham top eight clash, having progressed through the Development League and TAC Cup in her first year on the AFL Victoria umpire development squad.
It continues a breakout year for female umpires in the competition, with Eleni Glouftsis last month becoming the first female field umpire in the VFL, and Kate Griffiths now a regular senior goal umpire in the competition. Griffiths will umpire with Adams this Saturday.

Congratulations, Shannessy. Officiate well.
Good to see female participation continuing to increase among the ranks of the umpiring fraternity.

Looking forward to seeing what Grundy, Greenwood and Scharenberg do today and most importantly seeing a Collingwood victory as well.

Doesn't look like Minchington is out there for them though so it should be 15 AFL players apiece, by my count...

Pies kicking to the Sherrin Stand end.
Cox starting forward, Grundy 1st ruck.
And on this cold, overcast and sombre Saturday afternoon at Victoria Park, WE ARE UNDERWAY!

Cox marks in front of the bench.
Sets it inside 50, no mark to Gault, off hands, Dwyer under pressure at the goal mouth, HIGH CONTACT, FREE KICK!
From 20m, DIF... GOAL!
