My Thoughts:
Great to see Moore back and had a great game back. Just seems to get to the Marking Contest at the Right time. Better as the Game went. Went Forward in last 2 minutes to try and win the game but did not have long enough to make a Difference
Reid had great 3 Qtrs. Used the Ball Really well
Marsh beat his man and was just about BOG
Schanranberg looked to moving Better and Never Panics
PK was poor. Got a Few Touch but no 2nd Efforts
Dwyer was Dwyer
Gault was Huge in the 1st QTR but went Missing after that
Broomhead and Kennedy where badly Misssed
Cox looked utterly Lossed out there
Young was okay. Gave Run and Carry
Maynard was barley seen
Goodyear was okay. Kicked a Goal.
Mantiet did nothing

don't be misguided by moore's stint forward late in the game.Dave The Man wrote:I think it show why he is playing back at the Moment.MagpieBat wrote:Moore had a chance to win the game with about a minute to go, but he couldn't mark a simple one inside 50...
Was too Easily Pushed Aside.
Moore Should been up Forward lot longer then with 2 Minutes to go.
1st time he has played Forward at Senior Level.
Would of Had Reid Kept Playing and then have 1 of him or Moore play Forward fort the Whole Last Qtr
Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.

Okay - Then why was he sent down to the Forward Line so Late?John Wren wrote:don't be misguided by moore's stint forward late in the game.Dave The Man wrote:I think it show why he is playing back at the Moment.MagpieBat wrote:Moore had a chance to win the game with about a minute to go, but he couldn't mark a simple one inside 50...

I was looking for all of the above....I actually didn't need to ask about dave as I recognised him as soon as I walked in the ground. I was more interested in spying the mysterious batmanJohn Wren wrote:you may well have. i finally spied the mysterious magpiebat. i saw jackcass approach him without incident.September Zeros wrote:
P.s. Did I see DTM at the ground.

On the footy I will say this much......I worry that young just won't ever feature much again. I know he's not long back but he looked ever so soft. And big cox, I don't think we'll ever be able to squeeze him in (sorry I know...bad pun) but if he's a project player, the project has just begun. I'm sitting here quietly having a rum to warm my qld bones and watching Blicavs flourish. How long do you persist with projects like cox?
As a side note I had the pleasure of seeing balmy in the car park after the match in his black Holden (statesman?) a scorpion fan wouldn't let him in and he was quietly giving him some sound expletive advice expletive .....classic big balmy.........god it's good to be back.

Missed Broomhead, Kennedy and Moloney around the guts today. Borthwick as well.
Played all day with a compromised bench. Moore, Young and Maynard not available in the first, Maynard not in the 2nd, then lost Taylor and Still.
Pendles was missed. Abbott to.
Jamar & Spencer dominated.
Marsh was the pick of our AFL listed players. His run and dash was truly exciting, shame his ball use lets him down. Love to see him tried forward.
Gault good early but faded in and out after that. Clunked some good marks but struggled in the ruck and with the ground ball.
Shaz looks more assured again this week, making progress, still won't kick on the left.
Reid did really well early but lack of match fitness told later in the game.
Moore was rusty but had a couple of moments.
PK didn't have much impact, poor defensively and when you're getting killed on the rebound spread can't afford a player not to be accountable.
Young was hot and cold, needs to learn that he doesn't always need to try and kick the bladder out of the footy.
Best games I've seen from Goodyear and Manteit who weren't dominant but at least contributed across the 4 quarters.
Least impact I've seen Cox have although he did take a couple of nice contested marks.
TA and Dwyer as you'd expect although Dwyer probably a little less damaging than you'd expect.
Good to catch up with JW and meet the infamous Bat and his father.

You're lucky I didn't string you up by your ankles to a gargoyle or something. I tend to do that when I get ambushed by strangers...jackcass wrote:I'll clearly need a rabies booster shot... can't be too safe playing with bats!John Wren wrote:you may well have. i finally spied the mysterious magpiebat. i saw jackcass approach him without incident.September Zeros wrote:
