Chris Judd. season over? career over?
Looks like he just did his ACL.
Hate the Blues. But not the way you like to see any player end a career, yet a champ and a generational player like Judd.

Hes gawn, such is life, and visy, dodgy brown paper bags, cheating, and a 0-5 record v the Pies under his former coach at west coast. Thats the way it is, que sera, sera.

Great, great footballer who turned the game on its head when he first burst on the scene.
His stats for his first 100 games were superior to Fyfe and anyone else you care to name and included a Brownlow, Norm Smith and a premiership.
His move to Carlton to escape the toxic West Coast culture may in hindsight be seen as a mistake by both parties but no one can deny he gave them tremendous service. He became a harder inside mid from necessity due to the dearth of quality midfielders compared to the Weagles and while not as spectacular as during his halcyon Perth days he was still an undeniably great player.
It's always sad to see a champion bow out in this manner irrespective of who they play for.

He's not that old!!Piesnchess wrote:Hes gawn, such is life, and visy, dodgy brown paper bags, cheating, and a 0-5 record v the Pies under his former coach at west coast. Thats the way it is, que sera, sera.
His first game was against us in Round 2, 2002 at the MCG.
I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within.

I was there and he was bloody near BOG in that game as well.Doc63 wrote:He's not that old!!Piesnchess wrote:Hes gawn, such is life, and visy, dodgy brown paper bags, cheating, and a 0-5 record v the Pies under his former coach at west coast. Thats the way it is, que sera, sera.

We won a thriller with Brodie Holland kicking an amazing 8 goals (I can't recall any Pies player kicking as many in a game since) in a really good game.
As we left though I remember talking to my mate about how friggin good that kid Judd looked. Jeez that time has just flown.

the Wiggles set up to let him use his attributes but you still have to be able to do it, and the fact that he had to change his game significantly at Carlton shows what a good player he was.
Shitty way to finish a career, but unfortunately probably appropriate given how Carton have been going.

I don't like him, but I hate to see champions end like that.
