Should get Reid, Young and Abbott back. Kennedy apparently okay to go. Tooves back so he'll either play VFL or force someone out of the senior team. Should result in a really strong VFL team this week.

Can't make this one. But looks like we may have around 15 AFL listed players. Should win this.

Yeah, 15 is the best-case scenario. But I'd say 14 with a carry-over player being held back is more likely. Even then, Reid and Young will be on "limited minutes".

But yes, we should win this one. And with (McHale willing) a clean bill of health this week, we could go into the Casey game with an AFL-listed player count somewhere around the 16 or 17 player mark...

Yep MB that looks likely for next week. Sounds like Sinclair, Greenwood, Moore and Ramsay might be ready. Fingers crossed it's not the usual story on getting to the verge of having an awesome VFL team finally just to have 3 or 4 come in but 3 or 4 go out in the same week.

it's not really that good for the vfl team to have an influx of afl listers returning from injury. not only will their modified game times affect is but also it can create a lack of cohesion. even though the maon aim is to ensure the afl team is competitive we also want our vfl team to go deep into the finals.
Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.

And the only way it does that is with a relatively healthy AFL list.

Conundrum...

Yep, absolutely.

Reading between the lines of what Balme said in the injury report, I'd say we might get 2 of Moore, Greenwood and Ramsay back next week. Sinclair sounds a little further off.

Moore is a valuable long-term asset, so they can take the extra week or two as far as I'm concerned. Likewise Greenwood. I'll be interested to see whether Ramsay comes straight back into the seniors or has to catch up a bit at VFL level.

If any of those guys don't come up for Casey, then with the Werribee game on June 14 being the last one before the next bye, I'm wondering if the club might just say 'one extra week of conservative management isn't gonna kill ya' and hold one of those players back (especially Sinclair)...

And the home team...

Coburg
B Iacobaccio Hartley Lehmann
HB Gregory Blair Robertella
C Morton Venditti Mance
HF Gleeson Hill Cauchi
F N. Thomas Younan Carnell
R Goodwin Uysal McConnell
Int Williams Posar Symes Allan Orr Christensen* MacDonald Bamblett Miles

http://www.sportingpulse.com/get_file.cgi?id=3615038

Oh, there's Michael Hartley. Hiya Harts!

And there's Cale Morton as well...

Burgers missing their leading goal-kicker in Lech Featherstone, which is most interesting.

We should win this comfortably.

I'm gonna guess the four to play seniors are: Oxley, Crisp, DeGoey, Witts. That might leave Dwyer as the emergency to sit it out as Broomy didn't get much game time last week. Anyway that would leave a team like this:

Scharenberg Marsh Maynard
Armstrong Reid Young
Manteit Kennedy Goodyear
Karnezis Still Broomhead
Williams Gault Abbott
Cox Moloney Hellier
I: Wallace, Pendlebury, Taylor, Borthwick (impressive kid), Wallin, Wills.

I keep looking at the bulk of our VFL backline and see the medium term AFL future is there: Scharenberg, Maynard, Marsh and Reid.

Broomhead and Abbott in the forward line is also a glimpse into the future, i reckon. Though I hope Broomy starts for the seniors.

Hope to get to the game and see it for myself.

Do the Indigenous round festivities flow into the VFL? And if so will Tony Armstrong be representing us at the coin toss?

With Reid back I'd like to see Pendles given a crack forward
