Our 23rd Man
Just wondering, what are the rules regarding the 23rd man in the squad, Is he only permitted to play 3 games ? What happens then ? I thought our 23rd. man was doing a great job racking up a lot of ball. Will he still train with the team ?

The 23rd man rule allows a club to play any player either in his first year on a VFL list or from that club's aligned TAC Cup side (in our case, Murray Bushrangers) as the 23rd player in the team for up to 3 games. However, that count gets 'reset' during the finals, so you can potentially be 23rd man for up to 7 games.
Anyone who plays as a nominated 23rd man can still play inside the regular first 22 VFL team players during the year. It's just that he can't be nominated as the 23rd man if he uses up his 3 game limit.
I assume Gus Borthwick (our 23rd man in Rounds 1 to 3) was just rested on the weekend.
