dave, if the afl is corrupt why do you still support it?
Because if we want to watch Collingwood we have no choice. They were warned giving them time to hide the evidence. Wether it was dimmy the bomber fan, or just protecting the AFL, this stinks to high heaven.
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
I understand that WADA operates under the investigative model as
opposed to the adversarial model used in Australia.
But it doesn't follow the French model totally.
It will be judged by an Independent panel.
As opposed to WADA being the investigator and judge a la French.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.
This is a confusing issue for many. Do you think Nanette is crying again through the confusion?
As for the evidence destroying, surround your footy department with crims and shonks football club you brought this one on yourself.
The motivation for the appeal is the scale of the injection program and the deliberate destroying of evidence. It is not ok for our sport to just say 'oh well, the evidence appears to be missing, therefore systemic doping is ok'.

Same, same.
Can't believe this is even worthy of an arguement...
Voting is compulsory. End of story. Donkey, postal whatever, it's still voting. Not doing so may incure penalties.
Attending or following AFL footy is optional. Not doing so may make some of the threads on Nicks a little difficult to comprehend.
Me being pedantic I know but although voting IS compulsory, one does NOT technically HAVE to vote. You only need to have your name crossed off the Electoral list. You can draw or scribble on the piece of voting paper if you like before putting it into the ballot box.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

what an extraordinary tangent this has become. anyway, the point has been made.
if this wada action clears everything up once and for all and brings some finality then let it take its course.
Interestingly enough that th nearing could be held anywhere in the world and overseen by any of the 24 member investigators and justices they have at there disposal.
The AFL & AFLPA will not be allowed to have any voice in proceedings at all. The players can be represented by 1 person enmasse or by an individual for each player.
WADA have the power to call upon all and any evidence collected by asada or the AFL and all interviews.
They can compel any current or former employee to appear but as Dank was an independent contractor he can't be compelled. He is a clever dick knowing this in advance he protected himself.
Now the interesting part is WADA have at there disposal more punishments for all parties not just eye players but the coaches, sports science people, board for negligence and any person directly or indirectly they feel complicit to the matter.
WADA have a 4yr ban at there disposal as well.
Now WADA are not known to do deals at all. They go for the throat as its there job as the world doping police to rid all sports on illicit substances.
The AFL are bound by the code that they must enforce completely any punishment handed down by WADA no matter what consequences it has on the code or any broadcast deal in place.
The afl will be sweating bullets here because they and Essendon have proclaimed a victory over ASADA and basically taunted them when they didn't appeal.
Gill the dill came out after ASADA said they wouldn't be appealing saying he expected that as the AFL tribunal had completely and throughly cleared Essendon players.
Oops gill looks like you might have goaded the wrong body now.
IMO I'm guessing WADA are about to teach the afl a lesson of monumental proportions.
At the end of the day the players are the only ones who are really going to be hurt from this.
Wait for the lawsuits to start flying from the players at the club or Hird if they are suspended for any length of time.
Hird should be stood down immediately
I bet bomber Thompson is sitting back grinning right about now
Gerard wheatley, forgive me if the spelling is wrong, ,on 360 tonight made Hird look like n idiot, so what will Wada do to him n his ..we dont know what we took?

Yee-ha!
Love how Turdy said that the players had been found "innocent" when no such judgement had taken place. He must still be employing that Liberal party spin doctor.
