Just remember Jezza, those Victoria Park games could yet be transferred to the MCG to act as true curtain-raisers. Check back later next year for confirmation on that front...Jezza wrote:A good fixture! Thanks for posting it MB!
The last four games at Victoria Park is awesome with double headers with the Northern Blues and Richmond
But yes, a decent enough fixture.
Here's hoping we can make the 8 again in 2015, and perhaps even score another home final (hopefully with the right result coming about in the end)...

Yes you're right about that. I have heard talk that our VFL side may play some games in curtain raisers at the MCG. I don't mind the idea as long as it doesn't erode what has made the VFL an appealing competition to watch as a spectator in the past few years especially since we got our own breakaway side and play our home games at our spiritual ground.
Our aim definitely has to be top 8 and to win a finals game this time round. Footscray won the Premiership after one season in the competition so I hope seeing that will drive our boys to greater success and achievement next year. It'll be interesting to see what happens and how it transpires.

i think the idea is for the vfl game to run straight in to their afternoon afl coverage.jackcass wrote:Thanks Dave, will they still look at a 1:00pm time slot?Dave The Man wrote:Channel 7 does the VFL nowjackcass wrote:Is the ABC still broadcasting or is that going to another station? 5x 1:00pm games would have meant possibly more broadcast games.

I think they are looking at 11-12 start of VFL games. Just like John Wren Posted, so it goes straight into the AFL Coverage of the Weekendjackcass wrote:Thanks Dave, will they still look at a 1:00pm time slot?Dave The Man wrote:Channel 7 does the VFL nowjackcass wrote:Is the ABC still broadcasting or is that going to another station? 5x 1:00pm games would have meant possibly more broadcast games.
